Refugee- persons persecuted in their countries on the basis of race, nationality, religious believes, political opinion or membership in a particular social group.

Family Class.  This method allows families to be reunited.  Canadian citizens and landed immigrants may sponsor their family members who wish to immigrate to Canada.

Student visas, work permits.  Many educational institutions welcome foreign students as well as Canadian employers need workers.  Study or work in Canada is a great opportunity to receive additional points for future immigration!

Provincial Programs.  Many provinces in Canada have their own programs and requirements for potential immigrants.  The applicant has to have the intention to live and work in one of the provinces in Canada.
