Business immigrants are people who can
invest, or start businesses in Canada.
There are three classes of business
immigrants:
Investors
Investors shall demonstrate business
experience, a minimum net worth of CDN $800,000 and make an
investment of $400,000 into Canadian economy. We can
help you arrange bank financing, so that you do not have to
tie up a large amount of the money for period of five
years).
Entrepreneurs
This program seeks to attract business
persons that will own and manage business in Canada.
Entrepreneurs shall demonstrate business experience, a
minimum net worth of CDN $300,000 and are subject to
conditions upon arrival in Canada. When the
entrepreneur arrives in Canada, he or she shall have the
intention and the ability to control a percentage of equity
of a qualifying business, provide active and ongoing
management of the business, and create at least one new
full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
These requirements are for the period of first three years
Self-employed persons
This category shall have the intention
and ability to create their own employment. They are
expected to contribute to the cultural or athletic life of
Canada, or to purchase and manage a farm in Canada.
They must have relevant business experience (relevant
business experience means at least two years in the period
beginning five years before the date of application for a
permanent resident visa and ending on the day a
determination is made in respect of the application, in the
following types of experience; self-employment in cultural
activities or in athletics and participation at a
world-class level in cultural activities or athletics, or
farm management experience.
