Economic class immigration |
Skilled workers are people whose education and work
experience will help them in their establishment in Canada.
This immigration is for people who have the skills,
education, training and experience to meet Canadian labor
market. Skilled workers are assessed on a set of specific
criteria such as age, occupation, ability in English or
French, personal suitability, health and non-criminality.
The current necessary number of points is 67 out of 100.
Minimum Work
Experience Requirements:

You shall
have at least one year of full-time work experience.
You shall have been paid for your work.

Your work
experience shall be in the categories from the Canadian
National Classification (NOC).

You shall
have had this experience within the last 10 years.
Proof of
Funds:
The Government
of Canada does not provide financial help to new immigrants
under skilled workers category. Therefore, your
obligation is to show you have sufficient funds to support
yourself and your family after arrival in Canada. The
amount of money you shall bring with you upon arrival is
determined according the size of your family:

Language
Proficiency
Ability to
communicate well in one of the two official languages
(English or French) is necessary to find job in Canadian
labor market. You will be awarded maximum 24 points
for your ability to listen, speak, read and write in English
and French. Proficiency level:

situations.

Moderate:
you can communicate comfortably in familiar social and
work situations.

Basic:
you can communicate in predictable context and on
familiar topics, but with some difficulty.
